Two Friends. One conversation. One idea that wouldn't let us go.
This is the story of two friends, one idea, and a belief that every family deserves to have their memories preserved.
It started with an idea Judith could't let go.
The original idea for Your Story Stone was Judith's. She wanted to create something for her own family - something that would leave future generations more than a name and date.
She imagined a place where family and friends could see photographs, hear her voice, discover what she loved and get to know the real person behind the headstone.
It was personal, simple and beautiful. At that point, it wasn't a business idea. It was something Judith wanted to leave for the people she loves.
Then something clicked.
Judith shared her idea with me during one of our many conversations.
I remember thinking, this is beautiful.
Then, almost immediately, another thought followed...
What if every family could have this?
Suddenly, it wasn't just about one legacy anymore.
It became about helping families everywhere preserve the recipes, voices, traditions and stories that make the people we love unforgettable.
Somewhere between the laughter, another cup of tea and a hundred excited ideas, Your Story Stone became much more than an idea.
It became our mission.
Why it matters.
We know we can't stop people missing the ones they love.
We can't stop time.
What we can do is help keep their stories close.
So that on the days you need them most, they're still there.
In the recipe they always made.
In the words they always said.
In the laugh you thought you'd forgotten.
In the stories that deserve to be told again and again.
Because love doesn't end when someone dies.
It carries on in the memories we share, the traditions we keep alive, and the conversations we continue to have.
